Hey Guys! The end of the week is finally here. I'm excited to welcome the weekend with open arms. I'm loving these hot summer days but they can really make you crave something cool to drink.
With that being said, I wanted to share my juicing regimen with you. Juicing is something I started a few years ago and absolutely love it! Hopefully after reading this post it will spark your interest for juicing too.
Let me start by saying juicing has amazing health benefits - not to mention it's a fun process. I decided to start juicing as a way to add more vitamins and minerals into my diet. Along the way, I've noticed my skin looks healthier and has more of a natural glow. I've also noticed that since I've started juicing I have more energy and I don't have to always rely on coffee or tea to start my mornings. I juice on average 4-5 times a week.
If you're not used to drinking fresh fruit or vegetable juices, it can take some getting used to. But I assure you the health and wellness benefits are totally worth it. The all natural, unsweetened fruits and veggies will help to supplement your diet while giving you that extra energy jump start!
I own a Cold pressed (masticating) juicer by Omega. Cold pressed juice retains more nutrients and antioxidants vs. traditional juicers (where heat oxidizes nutrients). The juice made in the pictures is super simple, and one of my all time favorite recipes!
Servers (2) 16 oz cups
1 Green Apple
2 inch Ginger root
1 pound (1 bunch) Celery
1 pound (1 bunch) Kale
Juicing is simple and it's an easy treat to drink for breakfast or as a healthy midday snack. It can also be a great post-workout snack to replenish your vitamins. Enjoy!
